The Hong Kong Windsurfing Team is at the moment competing in the Asian Championships 2012.

The event takes place in Pattaya, Thailand. The numbers of the fleets are good and especially the mens fleet with 30 competitors is double the size of the Worldcup in Miami which is also taking place at the moment. For the Asians it's a good opportunity to have a race close by home and start final preparations for the upcoming Worlds in Spain, Cadiz (march).

After 2 days it's Hei Man Chan (Hayley) leading in the womensfleet closely follwed by Li Mei Sun (CHN) and Wai Kei Chan (Vicky). In the mensfleet also the Hong Kong Team is doing good. Ho Tsun Leung (Andy) is currently 2nd and Kwok Fai Cheng is closely following 4 points behind on 3rd. The leader is Korean Lee Tae Hoon.
