RSX Worlds 2011 - Men's Medal Race ultimate fight for Gold!
Tomorrow, sunday 18th dec, is going to tell us who wil be the Worldchampion 2011 for the RSX Men.
Today's racing showed a strike back of current European- and Worldchampion Piotr Myszka (POL). With two 2nd places he managed not only to close the gap with Dorian (NED) but is now leading with one point. But leading with one point going into the Medalrace doesn't mean anything. Because of the double point scoring it's really simple. The one who is in front of the other will become the Worldchampion 2011!!!!
Another possibility is that both Piotr and Dorian sail a really bad race and good old Pont (POL), 2nd at the Worlds in 2010, can even catch up on them. But in reality I don't expect this as a real threat. Pont has to keep an eye on Nimrod Masiah (ISR), 3rd at the Worlds in2010, who is only two points behind and will try anything to get on the podium again.
So the line up for the Medals is impressive. The Medalwinners of last year's Worlds are challenged by Dorian who in my opinion is the fastest of them all. He made one big mistake this event which cost him 15 points otherwise the gap would have been much bigger, but that's all in the game. So I'm really curious to see who can handle the pressure in the best possible way and go home with the Gold.
